Barça studies converting La Masia de Can Planes into a museum dedicated to Leo Messi

The name of Leo Messi has been the most pronounced in recent weeks in the sphere of FC Barcelona, with the permission of Alexia Putellas who, after receiving a medical discharge yesterday, could reappear this afternoon at the Camp Nou for 295 days after tearing the cruciate ligament. Barça is still looking for the best option to sign the Argentine star and according to the newspaper AS, the latest idea from the Barça club is to turn La Masia de Can Planes into a museum dedicated exclusively to the footballer from Rosario, and use the income to pay part of your contract.

Barça, according to this information, is in talks with Telefónica to turn the building into an interactive and immersive center that would attract thousands of tourists and fans. Located next to the Camp Nou, La Masia was built in 1702 and was acquired by the Catalan club in 1950. Although it was initially used as an office for the architects of the current Barça stadium, in 1979 it became the residence for young footballers from the quarry.

This building, which Barça intends to use as a lever, is a Cultural Asset of Local Interest, so the façade cannot be modified. However, the Blaugrana club intends to reform the interior to house the Messi Museum. A project destined to make the return of '10' more feasible and which adds to the efforts that the Catalan entity is carrying out so that from June Messi will once again be a Barça player.

As reported by the journalist Gerard Romero on his Twitch channel, last Monday the still PSG player went to dinner in Barcelona with Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Pepe Costa, assistant to the Argentine soccer player, and the couples of the four. This meeting took place after the aforementioned met in a restaurant in the Born, a Barcelona neighborhood, last March.

With the plan to reconvert La Masia de Can Planes already underway, FC Barcelona will have to lower the cost of the squad to deal with Messi's contract, taking into account the criteria that LaLiga has dictated to validate the Rosario's registration.
