Badalona puts a siege on illegal establishments run by foreigners

Last Wednesday afternoon, April 17, the Badalona Urban Guard and the National Police carried out a joint police operation in five establishments in the city, run by foreigners, in which there was evidence that operated in breach of the law. Specifically, action was taken in two supermarkets of the Awami chain, three mechanical workshops and a massage parlour.

The action resulted in the drawing up of 15 minutes for various crimes (lack of licenses, non-compliance with security measures, non-compliance with hygienic measures, crimes against data protection, immigration cases). During the operation, an address search was also carried out and a person with pending cases was summoned.

The mayor of Badalona, Xavier Garcia Albiol, has highlighted the importance of the collaboration of the different security forces to reduce crime and also non-compliance with the law in commercial establishments. "Our desire is to make the streets of Badalona safe and for all residents to live peacefully in their neighborhoods, but we also believe that it is essential to carry out police operations like the one yesterday, which fight against those who break the law when it comes to work and offer services to citizens,” said Garcia Albiol.
