Bad Bunny is chosen Artist of the Year by Apple Music

Puerto Rican urban singer Bad Bunny has today been chosen Artist of the Year by the music platform Apple Music for bringing "Latin music to a massive global audience."

In a video published by Apple Music on his Twitter account, the artist has assured that this distinction is deserved by "an entire generation" that has helped the rise of Latin music.

"I'm grateful for everything I've accomplished and everything I've experienced. The Latin music movement has grown so much. I would never take all the credit or say, 'It's because of me.' No, it's each one of us. A whole generation. Our energy and presence are always felt", he added.

For his part, the vice president of Apple Music, Oliver Schusser, has ratified in a press release that the platform is delighted "to celebrate the achievements of Bad Bunny, whose influence in all corners of culture cannot be ignored in 2022" .

"Watching Bad Bunny rise from an Apple Music Up Next Artist in 2018 to our 'Artist of the Year' has been nothing short of extraordinary. We congratulate him on his record breaking year and continuing to bring Latin music to a massive global audience." has highlighted.

To celebrate this award, Bad Bunny has taken over Apple Music's "La Formula" playlist, in which he will choose his favorite songs from colleagues such as Myke Towers, Rauw Alejandro, Mora and Jhay Cortés, among others.
