Ayuso takes his educational crusade against the Government to the Supreme Court

As long as the sentences are not final, Justice is not going to stop the publicized decision of Isabel Díaz Ayuso to try to circumvent compliance with the latest reforms of the new LOMLOE educational law dictated by the central government. The president of the Community of Madrid, in fact, has confirmed this Monday that she will appeal to the Supreme Court (TS) the Baccalaureate curriculum prepared by the Government of Pedro Sánchez, considering that "it carries a great ideological burden" and "leaves aside " Aspects that the regional Executive considers "essential" for the education of students. A movement that has not been supported by the Popular Party as a whole, as evidenced by the fact that it is the only autonomous community to have carried out this movement.

The announcement of a specific press conference to announce it in the first person denotes the determination adopted by Ayuso in the case. To the point of placing it as a new battlefield between the Community of Madrid and the central government. "The new generations will not know who they are, where they come from and therefore, it leaves them in a limbo without a future. They are being instrumentalized in a present of crisis, of drugs, of addictions."

From Sol they plan to start the next school year with the current school year as a measure of strength until the Supreme Court makes a firm decision: "The weakest government in democracy should not destroy the education of all Spaniards like this," he denounced in a new critic to the management of the Ministry of the branch.

The Madrid president has described as "especially harmful" the educational plan carried out by the coalition government of PSOE and United We Can. And she has already launched several initiatives to boycott it. However, not all have prospered.

The Superior Court of Justice of Madrid has recently decided to suspend in a precautionary manner a decree and an instruction made from Sol to educational centers on the understanding that the Ministry of Education had invaded the powers of the State embodied in the Celaá law.

It was the Workers' Commissions union (CC.OO.) who filed a contentious-administrative appeal last Monday. The general secretary of Education of CC.OO. Madrid, Isabel Galvín, understands that this type of decree, "in addition to being illegal, is profoundly interventionist, reactionary and leaves the autonomy of schools, teaching teams, academic freedom and the rights of students to a minimum."

A few hours before the deadline to present judicial appeals, Ayuso is the only regional president of the PP to have taken the step forward. While other popular regional barons, such as Juan Manuel Moreno in Andalusia or Fernando López Miras in Murcia, have preferred not to do so.

Ayuso has acknowledged having informed the president of his party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, of his decision, but he did not want to give details of the exchange of arguments beyond pointing out that the leader of the popular party gives freedom to the autonomous presidents of the party to act in those matters that they deem appropriate: "And I am the president of Madrid before being a leader of the Popular Party, and I understand that I must act in defense of the people of Madrid," she justified herself.

Sol's offense doesn't end there. Ayuso herself has announced in recent days that her regional government will also review "in detail and urgently" the content of the new textbooks for the next academic year 2022/23 through a special plan that will be carried out by the Service of Autonomous Educational Inspection.

The objective is to avoid "indoctrination" in the classroom through this school material, as can be seen from the drafts of the course that comes after the entry into force of the LOMLOE state education law.

"They intend to change the world of Sofía for the world of Sánchez through education. We are going to work to end the indoctrination that the Ministry of Education intends towards all children with textbooks," he indicated.

And before that, there was already a previous episode when, just two weeks ago, Ayuso announced that he will eliminate thirty concepts from the subject of History in Baccalaureate due to their "important ideological burden" while at the same time directly opposing the new bill of the Central government on university public education.

The regional Executive will request protection from the European institutions for the detriment that this situation will entail for the students and will request a meeting with the representatives of the National Association of Publishers of Books and Teaching Materials (ANELE) to address various issues about the edition and book printing.
