Ayuso relocates his strategic gurus for a legislature of popular roller in Madrid

The absolute majority harvested by Isabel Díaz Ayuso at the polls is already noticeable at the start of the XIII legislature of the autonomous Parliament of Madrid where the president of the Community has relocated two of her strategic gurus in sensitive positions so that Enrique Ossorio , designer of the 28-M campaign, will chair the regional Chamber and Rafael Núñez Huesca, coordinator of the strategy committee of the regional PP, will be deputy spokesperson for the parliamentary group.

The vote to elect the new president, who will take over from María Eugenia Carballedo -in the pools for the Senate-, has accurately reflected the distribution of seats that came out of the polls. Enrique Ossorio has had the support of all the PP deputies (70), while the 27 votes of Más Madrid have gone to his deputy Esther Rodríguez, the 27 of the PSOE have been voted blank and the 11 of Vox have been led by his deputy Ignacio Arias.

Ossorio, until now vice-president and counselor for Education and Universities, has been in charge of composing the popular electoral program in the last two regional elections and has been the architect of several of the ideological battles undertaken by the Madrid PP.

From his position in the most conservative wing of the formation, the new president of the Assembly has led Ayuso's frontal struggle against the Celáa law and has shaped, among other measures, the extension of the income threshold to 100,000 euros for access to educational scholarships in private schools. Two initiatives of a markedly ideological nature to the point of overshadowing Vox, taking away a good part of its roadmap.

Another of the names of the day, although less media coverage, is the appointment of Rafael Núñez Huesca as the new deputy spokesperson for the PP parliamentary group. This expert in political communication, and creator of the Vox brand for his close friend Santiago Abascal, has recently been in charge of coordinating the strategy committee of the regional PP while continuing to act as advisor to the president of the Community of Madrid .

Two tasks in which Ayuso's verb has sharpened when it comes to giving "the cultural battle" to the left, widening the space of the PP towards the extreme right.

The same work was carried out during the last legislature by the person who will be the second deputy spokesperson for the popular group. Elena Vigil starred in one of the most viral interventions in the Madrid Assembly by listing one by one the cases of rapists released from prison as a result of the application of the only yes is yes law. The vice president of the Commission, the socialist Begoña Suárez, partially interrupted her speech, but the popular deputy managed to complete her intervention, motivating the protests of the PSOE and Más Madrid.

After Osorio's election, three more votes have been carried out. In the first, the first, second and third vice presidents have been elected, in the second the first and second secretaries and, in the last one, the third secretary.

Thus, Ana Millán (PP) has become the first vice president, Esther Rodríguez (Más Madrid) the second vice president and Diego Cruz (PSOE) the third vice president. The first Secretariat has fallen to Francisco Galeote (PP), the second to Ignacio Arias (Vox) and the third to Susana Pérez Quislant (PP). The formations have agreed on a plural structure of the Assembly Table with the participation of all the formations with parliamentary representation.

Once the Board of the Assembly of the present legislature was constituted, the 135 elected deputies have proceeded to promise or swear to abide by the Constitution and the Statute of Autonomy of the Community of Madrid.

The Madrid Parliament has one less deputy than in the last legislature due to the decrease in the population and is made up of 70 parliamentarians from the PP, 27 from Más Madrid, 27 from the PSOE and 11 from Vox. There is one less group in the regional Chamber than in the last legislature since Unidas Podemos did not reach a sufficient number of votes in the May elections to have representation.

For the day to day of the plenary, Carlos Díaz-Pache, acting Deputy Minister of Transport, will be the spokesman for the PP, taking over from Pedro Muñoz Abrines. Mónica García will repeat as spokesperson for Más Madrid, Juan Lobato as spokesperson for the PSOE and Rocío Monasterio as that of Vox.
