The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díz Ayuso, has justified this Thursday her lesser presence in the PP campaign for the June 19 elections due to the distance from Castilla y León, in whose campaign she participated on several occasions.
Asked about this matter after participating in the VII Guadarrama Forum, together with the president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, Ayuso pointed out that when he goes to Ávila it takes "45 minutes or an hour", and when he travels to the south of the region, specifically to Algeciras, as he did this Tuesday, "between the plane, the car and the train I am the whole day".
The Madrid president has indicated that she has already been to Algeciras and Jerez de la Frontera in the Andalusian electoral pre-campaign to support the candidate for the Presidency, Juanma Moreno, and has "a lot of trouble in Madrid and a lot of work" to do in the region.
"I would like to return, of course, because wherever I am required by my colleagues I am always there," said the Madrid president, while pointing out that it will be "difficult" due to agenda issues in Madrid and "other trips".
However, he pointed out that "if it is not there, it will be from here, speaking of all the good that the Government of Juanma Moreno is doing and how Andalusia has changed its headlines and the image of this region in the last four years."
Ayuso will have less prominence in the electoral campaign in Andalusia, as will Fernández Mañueco, to which the PP downplays importance, although it is true that both leaders govern in their regions thanks to the support of Vox.
The PP is pursuing a large majority for Juanma Moreno in the Andalusian elections on June 19, a victory that aspires to be the advance of that of Alberto Núñez Feijóo against Pedro Sánchez, through a project of management, moderation and center, that appeals to disenchanted socialists and intends to turn a deaf ear to Vox.
