At least 17 Palestinians have died in the last 36 hours in the occupied West Bank: two of them killed by the Israeli Army this morning, after trying to attack soldiers near the southern city of Hebron; another 14 in Tulkarem, after two nights of military raid; and one in an attack by settlers in a village south of Nablus.

The Israeli Army reported on the first episode this Sunday in a statement in which it stated that a Palestinian tried to stab a soldier at the Beit Einun crossing, near Hebron, and that another "suspect" opened fire on them.

"Our troops returned fire on both attackers. According to doctors, both died," the armed forces detailed. In addition, the Israeli Army indicated that none of its soldiers were injured and that they are still deployed in the area.

On the other hand, the Palestinian Ministry of Health raised the total death toll in Tulkarem to 14 in the last few hours, following a raid by the Israeli Army that began on Thursday night in the Nur Shams refugee camp.

This is one of the largest operations by the Israeli Army in the occupied West Bank since the outbreak of the war in Gaza on October 7.

Medical teams were only able to enter the camp last night after a partial withdrawal of Israeli troops, after 48 hours of incursion, as reported by the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa.

"Israeli army troops also carried out extensive demolition and destruction of infrastructure and property, attacking bakeries, commercial stores, houses, and destroying several vehicles," added Wafa.

Additionally, this Saturday, a group of settlers attacked the village of Al Sawiya, south of Nablus, killing a Palestinian and wounding two others.

Dozens of settlers from the Ali settlement, also located south of Nablus, attacked citizens' houses in the western part of the village, according to the agency, citing witnesses.

On the other hand, an Israeli civilian was slightly injured by an explosive while trying to remove a Palestinian flag in the settler settlement of Kokhav HaShahar, in the occupied West Bank, according to local media.

After the Hamas attacks on October 7, the Army intensified its already frequent incursions into the occupied West Bank and, since then, some 481 Palestinians have died in violent incidents with Israel, mainly with troops but also with settlers.
