As police sources confirmed to this newspaper, the woman arrived in the Aragonese capital on April 2 to meet Fernando B. R., whom she had met on social networks and with whom she had already met in person previously.

At one point, for unknown reasons, an argument broke out between them in his apartment, at which point the man hit her. She tried to leave her home, located in the rural neighborhood of Montañana, but he prevented her and sexually assaulted her and then held her against her will.

After six days, on April 8, Fernando B. R. needed to go to the city center but, since he does not have a car, he told the victim to take him in his. Once parked, the woman took advantage of a moment when she was alone in the vehicle to get out and run for help at a bar on Princesa Street.

According to witnesses, she took refuge in the bathroom of the premises while those present, who immediately noticed the bruises she had, notified the police services.

The woman was first treated by a National Police patrol and taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries. In addition, the protocol established for victims of sexual crimes was activated, so she was examined by the forensic doctors on duty who went to the hospital and took samples to be analyzed.

With the information provided by the victim, the Police arrested the suspect within an hour in the vehicle parked nearby and he was brought to justice as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of sexual assault, illegal retention and mistreatment. The Zaragoza Violence Against Women Court ordered his preventive admission to the Zuera prison, where he currently remains awaiting trial.
