Arrested for killing a man, cutting off his fingers and setting him on fire to avoid identification

The National Police have arrested a woman as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a man, whose body was found charred on Cerro del Murmullo street in the Villa de Vallecas district, the Madrid Police Headquarters reported in a statement.

In addition, the investigation started with the added difficulty that it was not known who the victim was since they had extracted his teeth and fingers to prevent his identification. Despite this, the Scientific Police and Homicide agents found out the identity of the body.

The person responsible for the events was made available to the judicial authority, who ordered her immediate imprisonment. Later, and while in jail, she was charged with another homicide.

The investigation began when in August 2021 a neighbor who was walking through a pine forest in Villa de Vallecas observed that a fire was breaking out. The agents who went to the place found, among the flames, the corpse of a man.

The investigations carried out by the agents of the VI Homicide group together with the agents of the Scientific Police allowed us to find out his identity.

The victim turned out to be a man, a merchant marine by profession, who used to stay outside Spanish territory for several months and used people around him as recipients of his monthly payroll.

When he returned to Spain, these people gave him the money generated from his work, a fact that sometimes did not happen, becoming a victim of continuous deception.

In August 2021, the victim arrived at the Madrid airport where a friend was waiting for her, who in recent years had become the trusted person who received the income from her payroll and constantly misappropriated that money.

After meeting, both went to the town of Torrejón de Ardoz where the alleged perpetrator of the events had rented premises and it is at that moment that the victim's track was lost.

The homicide agents were able to corroborate that it was in that place where the homicide took place and that the alleged perpetrator subsequently asked an acquaintance, by deceit, to use his private vehicle to, under the pretext of moving, move the lifeless body days later.

She made those around her believe that she was still alive. In later days, the author covered the corpse and took it in the vehicle to the pine forest located on Cerro del Murmullo street where she burned it.

In addition, the person responsible made those close to the deceased believe that his disappearance had been voluntary and that he was still alive.

After numerous efforts, the agents arrested this woman, who was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority who ordered her to be imprisoned.

In addition, entries and searches were carried out both at the author's home and at the place where the homicide took place, and at the vehicle used to transport the body.
