Applicants for the 'Shopping Basket Bonus', approved this Friday by the Valencian Government, will sign an affidavit in which they will commit to purchasing "only" essential products. This excludes alcoholic beverages and other items, as explained by the Minister of Finance Arcadi Spain, who reported on the decree at the press conference after the Council Plead held this Friday in Montanejos. "It would not be feasible to limit the purchase," explained the minister, so the applicant's good faith will be taken for granted with his written commitment.

Spain has explained the details of the application for the bonus, the first of the three aids to the domestic economy against inflation that is launched and that will be activated from Thursday, April 20 and until next July 14. Thus, Spain has ensured that the application form will be available online but also physically at the Post Office, so that it is an "agile process that allows the first voucher cards to be issued already in the month of May."

The other measures of the Decree-Law on extraordinary support measures for vulnerable individuals to alleviate the effects of the rise in food prices and the rise in interest rates on mortgage loans have also been approved in the Ple of the Consell on regular residence, as well as an aid plan for those affected by the last major forest fire.

Thus, the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, has announced this Friday a tripartite agreement, between the Government, the Council and the Montanejos Town Council, to promote a tourism sustainability plan of 1.5 million euros aimed at Montanejos and the Alto Mijares area, the region affected by the last fire that started in Villanueva de Viver last March 23.

The plan is similar to the one that the Valencian government promoted in the Vall d'Ebo after the serious fire last summer, "an attempt to turn a misfortune into an opportunity", Puig specified, after presiding in Montanejos the ple of the Consell of this Friday. Both in Vall d'Ebo and in Alto Palancia, affected by the fire declared in Bejís, the aid is already reaching those affected, confirmed Puig, who stated that "it is the time when the aid has been executed the fastest and with this experience we can now go further".

This tourist plan is part of a comprehensive socio-economic plan that will be drawn up "imminently" which was also reported by Vice President Aitana Mas at the subsequent press conference, and which she explained will consist of direct aid, subsidized financing lines, extraordinary occupation plans in the area's industries and action plans for the restoration of infrastructures and forest areas affected by fire.
