Andrea Molina, in search of happiness

Andrea Molina (32) is pure sensitivity. A woman with a slim build and a wide smile who has fought in search of her own path and leaving aside the pressure of belonging to the Molina family and being the daughter of Lydia Bosch. “I started out as an actress,” Andrea begins by opening up in conversation with this newspaper, “because it was what was expected of me or what I had imposed on myself and, although I enjoyed it, I felt a lot of anxiety. Then I stopped, because I couldn't find my place and it was like taking three steps back, and I started in a school with children, because I studied a double degree in Teaching. I was there for two years, and for seven months I have been working at the Starlite festival in Marbella and I am learning a lot with its founder Sandra García-Sanjuán.”

Music is not only present in his life because of his work and the memory of his grandfather, the great Antonio Molina, but also because his partner for years is Juan Fernández, guitarist of the band Marlon.

However, her refuge is her family, especially her mother, the actress Lydia Bosch: “I have a very beautiful relationship with her, of friendship and telling each other things, but also of respect, because she is my mother, and at Christmas, When I return home, he always tells me that I have to abide by his rules there.”

He also maintains an excellent relationship with his father, Micky Molina, although he admits that he does not see him that often, because he lives on the outskirts of Madrid: “He has a beautiful house with his partner María in a very small town where you can't hear a sound. noise". Andrea reflects on the lessons she has learned from her parents: “My father has taught me to forgive, and my mother, that you should not put pressure on yourself to seek perfection, because it does not exist.”

Andrea Molina and Lydia Bosch were in Barcelona last week, on the occasion of 080, for the Hoss Intropía show: “I am a fan of the brand, its colors and prints. When I was little I remember my mother wearing a white dress with little flowers from Hoss that I loved, which is why I was excited that they invited us. In addition, last year's campaign was starred by my aunt Ángela with Olivia and María.”

The collection presented by the brand was inspired by the Indian festival Holi, a hymn to happiness: “When I was young I associated happiness with success, however, now it is tranquility, or eating on Sundays with my mother, my grandmother and my friends. siblings, Juan and Ana, with whom I have been together for 11 years and I have a super nice relationship. I try not to lecture them and respect their path.”

Andrea explains that it is much more complicated to stay with her father's family, the Molinas, because there are so many of them: “I have a relationship with Olivia and with other cousins who are not dedicated to this. But the last time all of us uncles and cousins met was in 2021, when my grandmother passed away. It was sad but nice at the same time to be together.”

Andrea speaks Catalan with her mother's family, although she confesses that she is somewhat embarrassed in public for fear of making a mistake, "but the actual interview is conducted in Català," she concludes.
