Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid coach, assured that his players are "one hundred percent prepared" to look for a comeback in the Copa del Rey semifinal classic at the Camp Nou, and that it is his "only thought".
"We are one hundred percent prepared, we have no doubts. From now on we have only one thought, which is to win on Wednesday," he said at a press conference at the Santiago Bernabéu after beating Real Valladolid 6-0.
"Today the last stretch of the season begins, I have told the players. Last year we started it against Celta suffering a lot and this year we started it with different feelings. It was a very good game although we didn't do well at the beginning "We suffered and they had opportunities. We leave with a good feeling because the success that we have almost always had in attack has returned. Today the forwards have been effective and forceful. They have made the game quite easy", he added.
He praised the work of Rodrygo Goes, Vinícius, Marco Asensio and especially Karim Benzema, author of a triplet. "The attacking four have complied in all aspects, without the ball they can improve but they have combined very well, alternating movements and having a lot of mobility."
"Karim's game must be highlighted because he has scored three goals in seven minutes and has shown very good condition. It means that the work he has done in the break has been very good", he opined.
