An Indian couple distributes more than two million dollars on the street to become monks

A wealthy couple has donated their entire fortune, estimated at 200 million rupees (almost $2.4 million), throwing it on the streets of a city in western India, as part of the process of getting rid of material possessions before become Jain monks.

Businessman Bhavesh Bhandari, based in the western state of Gujarat, and his wife (whose name has not been disclosed), participated in a ceremony in which they donated all their belongings and money to people passing by them, as part of the commitment of material detachment, as reported by the Indian news agency PTI, through EFE.

The couple's gentle act raised a lot of expectation, as can be seen in the images, on the streets of Gujarat, in western India. The distribution of their assets was in the form of money, clothing and bags with belongings.
