Yesterday, Holy Tuesday, one of the cables of the aerial camera or 'spidercam' that is behind the Town Hall got entangled with the canopy of the Virgen del Dulce Nombre of the brotherhood of La Bofetá as it passed through the Official Race. First it was with the cross that finishes off the crown at the front of the canopy and then it was hooked to another part of the rear curtain, according to ABC de Sevilla.

The incident caused a stoppage of about a quarter of an hour. The firefighters were called to unhook the camera with a large scale, but in the end their intervention was not necessary thanks to the dexterity of a polecatcher brother who managed to free the passage of the cable, explains Diario de Sevilla. .

This was not the first time it had happened, on Palm Sunday there was also an incident with the passage of La Borriquita. On that occasion it was the mastery of foremen and bearers that managed to release the cable of the palm tree from the passage of this brotherhood.

In light of the events, sources from the Seville City Council explained that, after the second incident, it has been decided to revoke the authorization granted for its installation and order its removal.

According to information from the Council of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods, the canopy of Dulce Nombre remained immobilized for 18 minutes in the Plaza de San Francisco. In a subsequent statement, the Council clarified that said camera had been installed by Canal Sur Televisión, without the Council itself having anything to do with its installation and use. In addition, he adds that he deeply regrets what happened and requests his withdrawal "immediately".
