Having clear ideas and putting all the desire to achieve our goals is a much easier process if we pursue our true passion. This is the case of the film director and screenwriter Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, who never lost track of what she is passionate about until she made her greatest dreams come true. "I always had the dream of making a film and I took the plunge", confesses the director in a new chapter of Mucho por Hacer, CaixaBank's financial literacy program, created with the aim of increasing the population's knowledge of basic financial concepts personal.

He has participated in short films and has worked in advertising, until the time came when he dared to make his film. “I think I jumped in because a story appeared that spoke to me on a personal and intuitive level,” explains the director of Cinco lobitos (2022), a film for which she won a Goya for best new director. “I felt that I had all that job of doing advertising every year and I wanted to get into an adventure that I didn't know very well where it was going to take me. And to learn new things, ”she says in the interview.

The story about motherhood that she narrates in her debut film captivated her. “She had been thinking about this project for a long time,” she says. From the time she began with the script to the shooting, five years passed. "Persistence has been essential to take care of the project, make it grow and not lose hope," she says. For her, “consistency makes you focus and energy on the things you can control. That attention to work and exploring new nuances of your story keeps you from uncontrollable variables”.

According to the filmmaker, the experience of what she has lived is giving her security and confidence to continue. “I have several projects, I am living a very sweet moment and above all I am very excited that hopefully it will be the second feature film that I write and direct. I'm focused on it."

As Alauda Ruiz de Azúa recounts, having a dream gives us all strength, but the really important thing is to be willing to work to fulfill it. “If you believe in what you do, that in itself is already valuable. And if luck accompanies you, wonderful things happen. This project has made me very enthusiastic, it has made me regain my faith, it has made me want to keep trying things and keep learning ”, he argues.

Precisely, sometimes, we would like to launch ourselves to pursue a dream or an objective and we do not dare to take the step because we do not know where to start or how to carry it out. In the next chapter of Mucho por Hacer, the financial expert, Natalia de Santiago, will give some keys that should be known before starting a project and that can be helpful in approaching a business idea from another perspective.

Together with the Mucho por Hacer program, CaixaBank has created a hub, through which it disseminates all the basic financial concepts linked to the most frequent life projects of the population, which can be accessed free of charge through CaixaBank.es/muchoporhacer , located within the entity's global portal.

CaixaBank continues to work on a daily basis with the aim of disseminating knowledge and making everyone aware of the importance of acquiring a good financial culture. In addition, it promotes training activities that cover the specific needs of young people, the elderly, entrepreneurs or people in a vulnerable situation, through specialized workshops, training courses and conferences.
