Aitana Mas, before replacing Oltra:

The future vice president and spokesperson for the Consell and minister for Equality and Inclusive Policies, Aitana Mas, has broken her silence and days before her inauguration -which is expected next Thursday- she has sent a message to her government partners: " Either there is codecision, or there is no coalition government."

With a calmer tone than his predecessor in office, who said goodbye by stirring up the PSPV and especially the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, Mas has stressed that he will continue the path marked out by Oltra despite "the reluctance" of his colleagues Executive because he understands that it is "the only possible way" for a "coalition government, a plural government, an unprecedented government until the arrival of the Botànic" to function.

After a few days of silence and waiting to find an ideal moment to assume the multiple positions left by a benchmark for the coalition like Oltra, Mas has not left the script that Compromís marked on the day of the resignation of the vice president. Thus, he has pointed out that he is going to assume both the ministry, the spokesperson and the secretariat of the Consell "with the hope" that Oltra "can return as soon as possible" to the front line, to continue leading "brave policies".

In this line, through brief statements sent to the media, Mas wanted to applaud "the gesture of generosity" of the until now vice president "in the face of an unfair situation due to the cruel and totally out of place attacks" that she is receiving.

In addition, she has claimed that, as Minister of Equality, Oltra has been able to make "a revolution" in social services, which improves the day-to-day life of the people who need it most.
