The Local Employment Services, promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council, served a total of 105,318 job seekers in 2023 and achieved 36,057 job placements, 6.5% more than the previous year. The job placement rate stood at 25.5% in the province as a whole. In the case of El Maresme, the rate stood at 22.2%.

Last year, these services served 18,643 companies and managed 25,254 job offers throughout the province. The most requested profiles in 2023 in the Local Employment Services in Maresme were administrative staff with customer service tasks (8.49%), cleaning staff (7.88%), waiters (5.83%), food vendors stores (5.55%), nursing assistants (3.73%), kitchen assistants (3.31%), transport workers (3.26%), cooks (2.99%), monitors (2, 24%) and other work and social education professionals (1.82%).

Of the 105,318 job seekers served in 2023 at the Local Employment Services, 56.5% were women.
