Adam Harrison, son of Rick Harrison from 'The Pawn Shop', dies at 39 from an overdose

Tragedy has hit the family of Rick Harrison, famous for being the protagonist of the show The Pawn Shop, with the news of the death of his son Adam at the age of 39. As reported by the TMZ portal, the cause of death would have been an overdose.

"Our family is extremely saddened by Adam's death. We ask for privacy as we mourn his loss," the Harrison family shared in a statement to Page Six through Rick's representative.

The exact circumstances of his death, although known to be due to drug abuse, remain unclear, and the Harrison family has remained tight-lipped about the details of the death. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have reported that they are investigating the case, which could shed more light on the circumstances surrounding Adam's death.

Unlike his older brother Corey, who has been a major figure at The Pawn Shop since its inception in 2009, Adam stayed much further away from the family business, the famous Gold Pawn Shop.

However, he did have a stint as a store employee before he began to gain the fame he has now. Later, he decided that he did not want to follow the same path as his family. According to some American media, Adam dedicated himself to plumbing after his time on the reality show, although the details of his career remain unclear.

Rick Harrison had two sons, Corey and Adam, with his first wife Kim, and a son, Jake, with his second wife, Tracy. Precisely, Adam is the one least known about due to his lack of involvement in his family's television project.

The deceased had an Instagram profile where he rarely uploaded anything, but his father is much more active. Still, the family patriarch often dedicated posts to Corey and Jake, keeping Adam anonymous. On the occasion of his death, Rick published a photo with his middle son: "You will always be in my heart. I love you Adam."
