The Civil Guard has arrested a 24-year-old young man as the alleged perpetrator of the sexual assault suffered by a 77-year-old resident of Daganzo de Arriba (Madrid), whom he threw to the ground and lifted her skirt.
After almost three days on the run, the young man was arrested by agents of the Judicial Police of Paracuellos de Jarama and was brought to justice this Friday morning as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual assault against a septuagenarian neighbor of his town, according to informed the Madrid Command of the armed institute.
The sexual assault took place around 10:30 on Monday, day 1, when the victim was walking along a street near her home in Daganzo and a young man assaulted her, threw her to the ground and lifted her skirt. A neighbor observed the events and began to scream, after which the young man ran away.
The Civil Guard agents began their search and, after almost three days on the run, they managed to locate him in the town itself, where he also resides, the Corps has reported. This is a 24-year-old young man, of Spanish nationality, who has a criminal record for threats.
This morning he was handed over to the Torrejón de Ardoz guard court, where he will be interrogated and whose owner will decide whether to release him or enter provisional prison.
