A 37-year-old woman sowed panic on Monday at a Dallas (United States) airport after breaking in with a weapon and shooting several times at the ceiling, without causing any injuries, before being reduced by the police, according to local media reports.

The incident began around 11:00 a.m. in the morning – 6:00 p.m. Spanish time – when the woman arrived at the Love Field airport in the Texan city of Dallas and began shooting in the area of ​​the check-in counters.

As Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia explained to the press, the woman first entered the bathroom, came out dressed in a hood and, visibly upset, began screaming and shooting.

A police officer who witnessed the scene shot the woman in the leg and managed to subdue her. She was taken to a hospital in custody.

Dallas Love Field Airport is located about six miles from downtown Dallas and is primarily served by Southwest Airlines, although it is also used by the Federal Aviation Administration.
