A woman, about 40 years old, died this morning from injuries caused after falling onto the subway tracks at the Ángel Guimerá station in València, apparently accidentally, according to witnesses to the events, who have informed EFE sources from Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV).

The events occurred around 12:10 a.m., coinciding with the end of the service and at the time of the accident there were no subways in circulation at the station.

The same sources have indicated that several travelers who were on the platform and a driver of an FGV maintenance vehicle rescued the woman from the tracks.

According to the Levante-EMV newspaper, the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU) received notification of a drunk woman falling onto the tracks and a Non-Assisted Transport (TNA) unit initially attended to her. but given its severity, a SAMU ambulance was required.

The medical staff was only able to finally confirm his death around one in the morning, adds the newspaper, which indicates that agents from the Generalitat Police also attended the scene.

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat has made the recordings from the metro security cameras available to the Police, who have taken charge of the investigation, and states that "it seems that there was neither push nor aggression" and that the fall was accidental. .

The event did not affect circulation and the service resumed normally this morning, FGV reports.
