A woman arrested for driving in the wrong direction on the A-1 and crashing into a taxi

The Civil Guard has arrested a woman for allegedly driving in the wrong direction for about three kilometers and crashing into a taxi on the A-1, near the Madrid Jarama circuit, in the town of San Sebastián de los Reyes.

The events took place last Thursday around ten at night, when the woman, for reasons that are being investigated, was traveling on the A-1 in the opposite direction.

As sources from the armed institute have informed Efe, the woman drove recklessly for about three kilometers, endangering the rest of the drivers, until she ended up colliding sideways with a taxi that could not avoid her.

None of the people involved in the accident were injured, since they were not traveling at high speed.

The driver, who tested positive in the alcohol test performed on her, was arrested by agents from the Madrid Command Traffic Group.

She has already been brought before a court in the town of Alcobendas, near the scene of the incident, which is investigating her as the perpetrator of crimes against road safety.
