A total of 465,469 vehicles have left the metropolitan area of Barcelona between 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 3:00 p.m. this Saturday as part of the operation leaving for the three-day weekend in Catalonia on the occasion of the Diada on Monday, September 11.
This figure exceeds the forecast of the Catalan Traffic Service by 10.8% more, reports in a statement. Traffic predicted that a total of 420,000 vehicles would leave the Barcelona area until 3:00 p.m. this Saturday.
The AP-7 has concentrated the main delays with up to 23 kilometers of traffic between Mollet and Llinars del Vallès, in the direction of Girona. In parallel, around 7 kilometers of slow traffic were also recorded between Castellbisbal and Martorell, direction Tarragona. The C-32 was another of the roads affected with stops of 5 kilometers between Cambrils and Argentona and 4 kilometers between Teià and Vilassar de Dalt.
