The Valencia Provincial Firefighters Consortium is working this afternoon to extinguish a vegetation fire in Alberic, in the Balcón del Júcar urbanization area. Due to the proximity to the houses, only a few minutes later the Emergency Coordination Center has established situation 1 of the Special Plan against the risk of Forest Fires due to the possible impact on non-forest assets.
Two aerial means of extinction work, three units of forest firefighters from the Generalitat Valenciana, one of them helitransported, and two fire trucks.
The high temperatures of this Saturday had forced the activation of the pre-emergency level for extreme level fires in the interior of Valencia and north of Alicante; high in the interior of Castellón and south of Alicante and low/medium on the coast of Valencia and Castellón.
