The firefighters of Valencia brought the forest fire declared this Wednesday afternoon under control in the early hours of the morning in a pine forest on the Gola de Puchol avenue in Valencia, at the height of Sidi Saler.
The fire led to the establishment of emergency situation 1, which is declared when there is a risk that the evolution of a fire could seriously affect forest assets and, where appropriate, slightly affect the population and non-forest assets.
Seven fire crews, a forest foreman, two units of the Generalitat forest firefighters and two fire engines participated in the efforts to extinguish this fire, which was considered stabilized after nine at night and was declared under control at midnight: 47 hours.
The mayor of València, María José Catalá, has thanked "the great work" of the professionals who have mobilized in this fire, as has the neighborhood association of the Dehesa de El Saler, which has regretted that there has been a new fire in the area and has wondered if it is due to an arsonist or an arsonist.
