Last Wednesday, the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 40-year-old man in a vehicle check and to prevent violent robberies in homes on the C-59 highway, near Castellterçol (Barcelona), as explained in a notes the Catalan police. The reason for the arrest was the detection of two packages of hashish in the vehicle.
The pieces, each weighing 100 grams, were hidden in the double bottom under the foot mat in the passenger side. Both were wrapped with the photo of the well-known soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo.
The car did not have the ITV badge, a fact that the agents noticed and decided to stop it. They asked the driver to hand over the documentation, which showed that the vehicle had not passed the inspection and the previous one had expired. They then inspected the car and discovered the packages.
The man was arrested for a crime against public health and reported for not having passed the MOT. Yesterday, Thursday, he was brought into judicial custody on guard duty.
