A 73-year-old man has died and a 74-year-old woman has been poisoned in a fire that occurred this Friday morning in a house located on Maestro Luna Street in Torrejón de Ardoz, the Community's Emergency Service 112 has reported. .
The event took place around 7:30 a.m. and the Firefighters of the Community of Madrid immediately went to the scene to extinguish the fire.
The flames only affected the kitchen but when the Summa 112 doctors arrived they were only able to confirm the death of the man, who suffered serious burns.
The woman, who was poisoned by the smoke, has been evacuated to the Torrejón hospital. The National Police has taken charge of the investigation of the incident.
