The Conca del Tordera Agricultural Cooperative, which brings together farmers from Palafolls, Blanes and Santa Susanna, has officially opened "La Botiga de la Conca del Tordera" on Calle Sindicat, 3 in Palafolls, a historic and renovated establishment that will offer proximity and kilometer zero. This bet of the entity is born from the sum of efforts of the peasants that make it up, cultivating products in a responsible, committed way and under the cooperative spirit that unites them.

With the opening, the peasants of the cooperative demonstrate their commitment to their strategic alliance and reinforce the importance of local agriculture and farming in a macroeconomic context of uncertainty. Along these lines, the inauguration of La Botiga is a milestone in the recentralization of agricultural activity in the counties of Alt Maresme and La Selva; an alliance to vindicate the importance of the peasantry and create a space where it can be made visible.

On the other hand, the business also stands out for its collaboration with the leading national chain of organic supermarkets, Veritas, with its own space in the establishment and its range of organic products, as well as for the contribution of the Maresme Espinaler brand – known for its gourmet canned products, and its appetizers and vermouths.

"La Botiga de la Cuenca de la Tordera", an establishment formerly known as "El Sindicat" also has a corner dedicated to flowers and plants, another to pets and also a bulk cellar.

The Tordera Basin cooperative brings together farmers from Alt Maresme and Selva, from municipalities such as Palafolls, Santa Susanna and Blanes; it is the result of the union of two cooperatives with a long tradition in the area, the Cooperativa de Labradores de Palafolls and the Cooperativa Agrícola de Blanes which later joined the Santa Susanna Agricultural Cooperative.

Within this association, peasants and farmers are in charge of receiving, handling and distributing all the production of their associates. The crops go by season, with a predominance of leaf crops in autumn and winter, and fruit products, in summer. Products of traditional varieties and with denomination of origin also stand out, such as the hanging tomato and the crochet bean, respectively.
