A Massachusetts barn that held true relics of computing has finally been opened. 2,200 computers from more than 20 years ago have seen the light of day and have been for sale on eBay for a few days for a price of around $100 per terminal, which has sparked the enthusiasm of nostalgics and computer enthusiasts.

Its owner has decided to sell the thousands of computers that were hidden on its second floor due to the risk of the barn collapsing, according to Vice. These computers, weighing the equivalent of about 11 cars, had been packaged and unopened for almost four decades.

These Nabu-brand machines are a museum piece because his forgotten bet was too early an idea to succeed at the time. However, thanks to eBay they have been given a new life by the passion of the modern retrocomputing community looking for these collector's editions.

Thanks to a video by youtuber Adrian Black, thousands of fans of these relics were introduced to the Nabu computers, which used the Z80 processor and had an architecture very similar to the widely used MSX platform, which made them a great option for hackers on devices.

These computers for sale are practically new: “It is new, but it is somewhat used. I think the seller peeled off the original tape, tested it, and then glued it back on, ”he explains in his video Black, who was impressed by how these admirable machines worked.

It really is about very special computers and different from those of its time, being an unknown platform that has now caused an avalanche of interest forcing the seller's eBay account to be out of service and under verification to check if the units really they were his.
