The M10 Memorial, the mausoleum that Maradona will have in the center of Buenos Aires

This Monday, October 30, the day Diego Maradona would have turned 63, the legendary footballer's children met at an event in the City of Buenos Aires to inaugurate a memorial where his remains will rest. Specifically, Dalma, Gianinna, Jana and Dieguito Fernando, four of the ten's five children, were present. Only Diego Jr. was missing. At the event, they announced that the M10 Memorial project would be ready by 2025.

"Today we want to announce the beginning of the Memorial project where our father will find eternal rest near the love of the Argentine people. The M10 Memorial will be located on the Lower Esplanade of the City of Buenos Aires and will complete its construction in 2025," they wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile, they continued: "To honor his legacy and fulfill his will, this afternoon we participated in the signing of the corresponding commitments and a tribute to begin this new stage. We thank the National Government, the City Government and the Corporation Puerto Madero for their collaboration and commitment.

"In every mural, tattoo, song and tribute, our father is present. Thanks to the Maradonian community for the always love," they closed. Verónica Ojeda shared several photos and videos of the announcement, which featured the presence of musician Juanse Gutiérrez, who sang an acoustic version of "Para siempre Diego", the song she recorded together with the Ratones Paranoicos.

“Maradona Memorial, an exciting moment that makes the most wonderful images of life relive. We will always miss you because it was always before and after you, Diego," the artist wrote on his social networks.

And he concluded: "We will be loyal and you will forever be in our hearts giving us the best, feeling that being Argentine is worth it, just for everything you did to bring joy and unity to an entire people."

It is worth remembering that on the same Monday, thousands of kilometers from Buenos Aires, at the Theater du Chatelet in Paris, Leo Messi collected his eighth Ballon d'Or. La Pulga, always with Diego in his heart, took advantage of his speech as winner to remember his figure and shared the award with Maradona, remembering that it would have been his birthday.
