Spanish GP in Jerez: schedule and where to watch the MotoGP race on TV

The motorcycles are already roaring in Jerez de la Frontera, which is hosting the MotoGP Spanish GP this weekend, which will be held at the Ángel Nieto circuit. Marc Márquez will not be in the fourth World Cup event, as he has not recovered in time from his operation "four weeks ago for an intra-articular fracture of the first metacarpal in his right hand."

It has not been an easy start to the season for the Spanish riders, who are looking for their best version. For example, Joan Mir (Repsol Honda RC 213 V) expressed hope that he would find "something" over the weekend that would give him "that confidence" that he says he needs.

The Italian Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati Desmosedici GP22) will be one of the protagonists of the weekend, because he arrives as the leader of MotoGP. We will also see his compatriot Enea Bastianini (Ducati Desmosedici GP23), who has recovered from his scapula injury, on the asphalt.

The Spanish GP in Jerez has a special guest, Dani Pedrosa (KTM RC 16), who runs as a test pilot on his KTM RC. The Catalan is still in shape, because he was the fastest in the first practice sessions. Pedrosa set a best time of 1: 36.770 on his last lap, with which he unseated his compatriot Jorge Martín (Ducati Desmosedici GP23) from the first position by 34 thousandths of a second.

The Portuguese Oliveira also rode very fast, along with the Japanese Takaaki Nakagami (Honda RC 213 V), at just 49 thousandths of a second, as well as the Spanish Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia RS-GP) and the French Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha YZR M 1 ), which had a scare in the form of a "braking wash", at 95 and 97 thousandths of a second, respectively.

The MotoGP Spanish GP will take place this Sunday, April 30, at the Ángel Nieto circuit in Jerez. The race will begin at 3:00 p.m. and can be seen on television on DAZN and RTVE. In addition, it can be followed live through the La Vanguardia website.
