Cádiz football was shocked this Sunday when learning of the death of Francisco Naval Pérez, a 24-year-old player from Chipiona C.F., a Segunda Andaluza club who lost his life last morning after being stabbed on Saturday afternoon on a street in this town by a 20-year-old who has already been arrested.

The club from this coastal town of Cádiz has expressed its great regret on social networks for the death of its soccer player, which occurred last morning at the Puerta del Mar hospital in Cádiz after not being able to recover from the injuries suffered by the stabbing with a knife of large dimensions of which he was a victim around two in the afternoon on Saturday.

Chipiona C.F. He regretted that Paco, as his footballer was known, "had his whole life ahead of him" and conveyed his condolences to his family. Paco Naval, married with a daughter, played in the Atlético Sanluqueño youth academy, which also expressed in a statement its "deepest sorrow" for the "unfortunate and unexpected" death of the young soccer player.

"Our thoughts are with his relatives and with the people of Chipione in these hard times, where we transfer all our strength and energy to him. R.I.P.", he added. Cádiz CF also conveyed its "deepest condolences" for the event and sent "a lot of strength" to Chipiona CF, his family and friends.

Racing Portuense described Paco's death as an "irreparable loss" and joined the "pain" of his family, while Xerez expressed its "deepest condolences", especially "to the entire Chipiona CF family". The Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF), among other clubs and entities, also conveyed its "deepest condolences" on the death of the player to "all his family and friends, as well as the entire family of the Cadiz club."

As reported to EFE by the Civil Guard, the stab wound, in the chest, was produced with a large knife, at two in the afternoon, without saying a word and without there being any known links between the alleged attacker and the victim, both natural of Chipiona.

After the attack, the young Chipiona player was transferred to the Sanlúcar de Barrameda hospital (Cádiz) and later to Jerez de la Frontera, in the same province, but due to the seriousness of the injuries he was taken by helicopter to the Puerta del Mar Hospital from Cádiz, where he died in the early hours of Sunday. The alleged murderer, with no record of this type of crime, was detained at police stations and this Monday he was brought before the courts.
