The Spanish Marc Márquez (Honda) will not race in the MotoGP German Grand Prix, as a result of the fall suffered this morning during the last free practice sessions prior to the race. This has been confirmed by Honda with a brief statement in which they explain that "Marc Márquez has chosen to miss the German GP".
The pilot has confirmed in the Dazn microphones that the withdrawal has been his own choice due to his physical sensations after suffering up to five falls during the weekend: "I don't feel ready. I have many blows to my body and I'm not ready" .
During the 'warm up' on Sunday morning he suffered another crash, his fifth of the weekend, after being spit on at turn 7 and ending up on the ground, narrowly missing being hit by his bike. The Honda driver limped off the track and had to visit the circuit clinic, where the Spanish doctor Ángel Charte carried out a check-up.
Márquez suffered "a strong contusion in the right ankle and a distension in it", in addition to "a small fracture in the proximal zone that affects the most distal phalanx" of his left hand, but he received the "apt" from the doctor to run, although he has finally decided not to.
The Catalan rider does not raise his head and adds a new incident to a long list of problems with his Honda. "At the slightest mistake the bike betrays you and you fall," lamented the Catalan rider a week ago in Mugello.
