Levante Las Planas already knows its first rival in the Copa de la Reina. The Catalan team will face Eibar, a team recently promoted to League F in the third round. The match will be played on November 7, 8 or 9 in Eibar, the field of the lower category team.
Eibar finished the season second in the Second Division, behind the FC Barcelona reserve team. Due to their status as a subsidiary, the Blaugrana team could not be promoted, so it was the gunsmith team that rose to the First Division. Levante Las Planas and Eibar have already faced each other this year in League F, it was on the second day of competition in which the Catalans won thanks to a goal in the 93rd minute, so a fairly tight duel is expected in Ipurua. Eibar is currently fourteenth in League F and has only won one game of the five it has played to date.
The first First Division teams have entered this third qualifying round, those that finished the League between ninth and sixteenth position, among which is the Catalan team, which finished the League in eleventh place, behind Valencia and Athletic Club and ahead of Betis, Sporting de Huelva, Villarreal, Alhama and Alavés. These eight teams join the eight classified in the second round: Albacete, Osasuna, Oviedo, Tenerife, Juan Grande, Granada, Eibar and Cacereño.
Real Unión Tenerife, the only team that played in the Second Federation last season, has been paired with Sporting de Huelva. Although the Andalusian team should not relax because the Canary Islands eliminated a historic team like Espanyol in the second round.
The winners of this round will face the top eight finishers in League F last season, who directly advance to the round of 16. These are: FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Levante, Atlético, Madrid CFF, Granadilla, Sevilla and Real Sociedad. A tie that will be played at the end of November.
