Fede Valverde renews with Real Madrid until 2029

Real Madrid announced this Thursday the renewal of Uruguayan Fede Valverde until the end of the 2029 season, two more than those currently signed by the white team.

"Real Madrid C.F. and Fede Valverde have agreed to extend the player's contract, which remains linked to the club until June 30, 2029," Real Madrid announced in a statement.

In addition, the club praised the Uruguayan's successes with Real Madrid. "Valverde arrived at Real Madrid in July 2016, when he was only 18 years old. In his six seasons defending the first team shirt, he is already one of the best midfielders in the world. He has played 220 games, in which he has scored 19 goals and "He has won 9 titles: 1 Champions League, 2 Club World Cups, 1 European Super Cup, 2 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups," he noted. "Valverde has been MVP of the 2020 Spanish Super Cup final and Silver Ball in the 2023 Club World Cup," he concluded.

Valverde's renewal joins that of the Brazilians Viníicus Junior and Rodrygo Goes, announced last week, and that of the Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga, made official on Tuesday.

Four agreements for four young pillars of Real Madrid, with the consequent increase in salary and which now have a termination clause of 1,000 million euros.

It is Fede Valverde's second renewal in two years, since in 2021, already an indispensable part of the team, he extended his relationship with the white club until 2027.

The Uruguayan midfielder arrived in Madrid in January 2016, from Peñarol and when he came of age, he began his career at Castilla, Madrid's first reserve team, adding a year on loan at Deportivo de la Coruña and since the summer of 2018 he has been part of the first team of Real Madrid.
