Spain faces a few days of spring weather, with temperatures clearly rising from this Thursday and especially on Saturday, when 30 degrees could be reached in areas of the Cantabrian Sea, the Ebro Valley and the southern half of the peninsula, some values ​​ten degrees above normal. according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

Today, stable weather will predominate, with slightly cloudy skies or high clouds. Only in the extreme northwest of the peninsula will the proximity of several frontal systems leave cloudy skies, with precipitation in the west of Galicia tending to subside during the central hours and intensifying at the end of the day.

Maximum temperatures will increase sharply in the interior of the peninsula and in areas of the Mediterranean area, the agency continues. They will exceed 20 degrees in many provincial capitals: Albacete, Alicante, Almería, Cáceres, Castellón, Ciudad Real, San Sebastián, Girona, Logroño, Madrid, Murcia, Oviedo and Ourense, among others.

The minimum temperatures will increase in the northeast and Mediterranean Andalusia and will decrease on the Atlantic slope, especially in valleys.

On Friday there will be a new rise in temperature, except on the shores of the Mediterranean, where breezes will arrive and maintain temperatures around normal values ​​for this time of year, while in the rest of the country the weather will remain stable, with rains only in the west of Galicia, the Aemet follows.

During that day, 22 to 24 degrees will generally be exceeded; 27 to 29 will be reached in points of the Cantabrian Sea, Ebro Valley, southern Extremadura and interior Andalusia; even 30 on Friday in cities like Badajoz, Jaén, Seville or Murcia.

According to the agency's spokesperson, Rubén del Campo, temperatures between 5 and 10 degrees, above normal for the time of year in practically all of Spain. This day, temperatures may be accompanied by suspended dust, which will give rise to haze.

On Saturday there will be a temperature drop in the western third of the Peninsula, but in the rest they will continue to rise more and temperatures in the Balearic Islands could be around 28 to 30 degrees, while in large areas of the peninsula they will exceed 25.

On Sunday, although there will be a general drop in temperature, temperatures in the Mediterranean will still rise. The entry of several fronts is also expected to leave rainfall, especially in the north of the peninsula and in the Canary Islands.
