A pod of dolphins surprises the coast of Montgat

It is not common to see dolphins so close to the coast, since these marine mammals are known for their social behavior and their constant migration in search of food, they rarely come so close to the coast.

The presence of dolphins in coastal waters is more common in open and deep areas, where they have access to a greater variety of prey and spaces to swim freely. Therefore, its appearance on the coast of Montgat, where bathers have easy access, has surprised.

These marine animals, known for their agility and grace in the water, have been seen swimming in formation, jumping off the surface and playing among the waves, as Ether Experiences has reported on its Instagram account.

The images of the dolphin pod were recorded from the other side of the Montgat Beach train track, since you can see the characteristic wall of the area.

It should be noted that this beach has experienced a reduction in size in recent years due to coastal erosion and changes in the coastline. This phenomenon has led to a decrease in the area available for bathers.
