The Talita calendar is now on sale

Maia, Marieta, Carla, Marc, Pau, Mariona, Joaquín, Fran, Jaime, Álvaro, Víctor and Núria are the protagonists of the Talita 2024 charity calendar, which will be distributed on Monday December 11 with La Vanguardia. The Foundation, dedicated to the integration and inclusion of children and young people with intellectual disabilities, yesterday presented its solidarity almanac, with which it tries to raise awareness in society with the help of celebrities.

Singer Miki Núñez (January), actress Alba Flores (February), artist Jaume Plensa (March), writer Alice Kellen (April), MotoGP rider Maverick are taking part in the 22nd edition of the solidarity calendar Viñales (May), content creator Núria Casas (June), FC Barcelona exporter Juan Carlos Unzué (July), researcher Elisenda Eixarch (August), former basketball player Juanma Iturriaga (September), mentalist Anthony Blake ( October), actor Octavi Pujades (November) and chef Albert Adrià (December). All of them were photographed by the photographer Arnau Dalmases.

Yesterday, RAC1 journalist Jordi Basté was the master of ceremonies for the presentation of the calendar, "which is part of my family's Christmas, which I hang on the fridge and which I was lucky enough to appear on in 2020". At the presentation at the H10 Art Gallery hotel in Barcelona, there were many users and friends of the Talita Foundation and of course the children and young people who star in the almanac with their families. Only Jaime and Álvaro were missing because they live in Madrid.

Basté was calling the protagonists. Bewildered by being the center of attention, most answered in monosyllables – Marc and Mariona even wanted to seize the microphone – but they all agreed that they had enjoyed the experience, that it had not been very tired and that the celebrity with whom they had been photographed was very nice.

Among the celebrities chosen for this year were the researcher Elisenda Eixarch and the actor Octavi Pujades. The doctor confessed that appearing in a calendar like this "is putting research on the same level as all these celebrities". And he added that there is a lot of talent in Catalonia but tools are needed for research and social actions such as those developed by the Talita Foundation".

Octavi Pujades, for his part, assured that when he was offered to be part of the calendar, he said yes immediately because "it is legal to participate in initiatives like this". And in response to Dr. Eixarch he said that "more people like you are needed, because research is the driving force of the country".

Xavier Arasanz, secretary of the Talita Foundation's board of trustees, pointed out that this year 90,000 calendars have been published and pointed out that, although it will be distributed together with La Vanguardia, on Monday the 11th, the aim is to collect funds to help the families with children with intellectual disabilities in social, educational and work inclusion. For this reason, a donation of 7 euros is requested from the institution for each calendar to account ES04 2100 1009 9402 0009 1272 or through Bizum (01044). It can also be purchased by calling 934 344 355 or through www.fundaciontalita.org.
