The 'chemtrails' conspiracy theory reaches Congress at the hands of the Cs defector

Questioning some statements and contrasting some information is necessary in the age of information overload and social networks. However, to contradict the operation of nature or the palpable reality, scientifically proven and demonstrated ad nauseam, is to give wings to conspiracy theories. Like the fact that the earth is flat, that the covid vaccines carry 5G or that of the chemtrails (chemical trails) —the latter disseminated and encouraged by politicians such as the Ciudadanos defector Pablo Cambronero—, are proof of this.

The deputy – for two years without a parliamentary group having left the orange party disappointed by its alleged turn to the left in March 2021 – has officially registered in the Congress of Deputies a question to the Government with the following statement: “ Is the government manipulating the weather through aerial spraying of chemicals? Along with that question, and waiting for affirmative answers, Cambronero asks the Executive to detail "what products, methods, systems and means the Government is using for this manipulation."

This theory, introduced in Congress by the former member of Cs and dismantled countless times by the most elementary science, maintains that the contrails that are drawn in the sky when planes pass are not the expulsion of CO₂ from their engines, but a concoction of chemical products released by commercial airplanes by orders of a sort of shadow international government with which they control and poison the population and manipulate the weather.

"Ask for popular acclamation," announces the member of the Lower House on his Twitter account. "I ask if the Government is manipulating the weather (with chemical products). In several EU countries they are building desalination plants and other measures against drought, what does our Government do? Destroy dams? Let's see the explanation...".

Far from needing a response from the Government, the science is compelling: no, neither Bill Gates nor George Soros are fumigating us, nor sterilizing, nor controlling the climate so that large corporations like Monsanto can win. Chemtrails do not exist, they are just condensation trails produced by the interaction of the gases ejected by planes with those of the atmosphere.

Already in 2016, researchers Christine Shearer and Steven J. Davis, from the University of California, launched a survey among scientists on the veracity of the arguments put forward by conspiracists about this type of stelae.

The result, published in a scientific article, is compelling: 99% of scientists categorically deny the existence of these chemtrails and prove more than compelling.
