Escorpion, which will be 100 years old in 2029, and Sita Murt, who is celebrating the centenary of the knitting factory where the firm was founded, opened and closed, respectively, the first day of the 33rd edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion , in the Sant Pau modernist complex. Simorra, Hoss Intropia and Lola Casademunt by Maite completed the day in which each firm praised the feminine silhouette through different inspirations.
Re-Connection is the title of Escorpion's autumn-winter collection. Jessica Raya made her debut as creative director of the firm and gave full prominence to the point, as is the tradition of the brand. Checks and floral prints in a palette of lilacs, neutrals, blues and greens. In terms of clothing, bombers, shorts and tops, dresses, and long and wide pants that create the contemporary silhouette of the woman.
Then Simorra paraded, with the spring-summer collection, entitled The art of braiding. It is inspired by the connection of all the women who weaved their stories in community, as a symbol of strength and unity. That is why it highlights the braiding, which is present in most of the clothes in the collection, which are smooth in shades of beige, blue, green and black.
Hoss Intropia (firm of the Tendan group) debuted on the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk with a colorful collection for the spring-summer season inspired by Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, a song of life. On the catwalk this inspiration was translated into feminine and romantic silhouettes with handcrafted details and a color palette of fuchsia, pink, mauve and green in varying intensities. Candela Serrat, Judit Mascó, Beth, Lydia Bosch and her daughter Andrea Molina were some of the familiar faces in the parade.
Lola Casademunt by Maite presented Trendy pop, a collection of bright colors and striking prints, typical of pop art that began in the sixties.
Sita Murt closed the day with a collection that pays tribute to the centuries-old tradition of knitting, in which black and neutral tones coexist with eucalyptus green, butter or honey. The result is very elaborate garments.
The president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, was in charge of inaugurating the 33rd edition and emphasized that 080 "is much more than a fashion week, because it incorporates values such as sustainability and inclusion, especially feminist and for all bodies". He pointed out that he is committed to "other disciplines such as new technologies that open up new opportunities for brands and designers". And he ended the welcome speech with these words: "If the league of the present and the future that is being played is that of creativity, Catalonia has a lot to say and win."
Aragonès and his wife, Janina Juli, accompanied by the Minister of Business and Employment, Roger Torrent, visited the 080Aesthetics area, where, with the creative studio Misato, the work of different artists who are directly related to fashion, well because they have worked for brands or for musicians or singers who are style icons.
