On the hunt for independents

Political parties go hunting for independents to attract votes and alleviate the discredit of politics. The citizens' disaffection towards their leaders is a problem that is reflected in the polls, so it is entirely logical that they look to incorporate candidates without militancy but with social recognition. With this, they aim to brighten up the lists and possibly try to get something of their charm to stick to them. Surely, politics is too important to be left to politicians alone, the thing is that history tells us that independents usually end up fed up with the blockages in their initiatives and the loopholes within their parties.

The last figure included in a list (it goes as number two) is the personal work of Carles Puigdemont. Anna Navarro, an olotine who for three years was chosen as the most influential woman in the world of technology and who was chosen in 2018 as Woman of the Year in Silicon Valley by Analytics Insight. Almost as much as his curriculum vitae, his definition in Ara of professional success is impressive: “Success comes from studying, being a good person and working in a team. And not being 'assholes'!"

Anna Navarro says that she has taught her children to be good people and to know how to distinguish them from those who are not, that good education is being lost, when it comes to saying "good morning" when we enter a place and "t I 'love' family, and that teamwork is essential because success is never the result of narcissism.

He has not explained in his interviews what he means by "not being an 'ass'!", a term put into circulation by Benito Pérez Galdós in Misericordia. It is possible that Navarro did not develop the concept so as not to offend anyone. But he probably wanted to describe with this term of half-Arabic origin (gihil means badoc) those who become numb to going the wrong way and in this sense his designation is reason for hope.

Number two on Puigdemont's list is pro-independence, but above all she is well-traveled, which is always a guarantee. Almost as much as his warning about assholes.
