Agents of the National Police seized last night, in one of the security cordons near the PSOE headquarters in Ferraz, a pistol from a soldier from the General Academy of Zaragoza, as confirmed by police sources to La Vanguardia. The Police drafted a proposal for a fine under the Citizen Security Law, but the second lieutenant was not arrested.

According to the Government Delegation in Madrid, 1,500 people participated last night in the protest against the amnesty in the vicinity of Ferraz, as has been common in recent weeks. A concentration on a turbulent Saturday that began with the demonstration in Cibeles by civil associations and ended with cuts on the A6 highway, when a group of them tried to approach the Palacio de La Moncloa. The day ended with six arrests, according to the same sources.

However, the most notable event occurred during the night, as El Confidencial has reported. Agents from the Police Intervention Unit (UIP), known as riot police, seized a pistol from one of the young people who were approaching the protest.

It was on Marqués de Urquijo Street, a wide avenue where the Police have established several security cordons these days in which they search the backpacks of those attending the rallies.

It was in one of these searches that the agents found the weapon belonging to the student of the General Academy of Zaragoza, the same military center where Princess Leonor is being trained since this year. Along with the weapon, the agents found, according to police sources, the documentation for the gun, which proves ownership. It is ruled out that it is an official weapon.
