Ens Uneix will have a vice-presidency in the Gobierno de la Diputación in which Vox will not be

Natalia Enguix, the provincial deputy who, by voting for herself, allowed the PP to win the Presidency of the Valencia Provincial Council, will be the new vice-president of the provincial institution. After the agreement reached between the PP and its party -La Vall Ens Uneix-Enguix will have the first vice president and will manage the Municipal Cooperation, Equality and Democratic Memory areas, in addition to the new delegation of Relations with the Generalitat. These are sensitive areas for the left or with great importance in the distribution of funds.

This was reported by the mayor of Ontinyent, Jorge Rodríguez (soul of this independent party) and the deputy herself to the local militancy in the extraordinary assembly held on Tuesday night. "The citizens of Ontinyent and Vall d'Albaida have given us the opportunity to defend their interests in Valencia and we are going to fulfill their wish because they are the only ones we owe ourselves to," said Rodríguez, a former socialist leader and former president of the Diputación de Valencia until his arrest for the 'Alquería case'. After his imputation, he was removed from the PSPV and formed a new party with which he has now preferred to seek a pact with the PP. Rodríguez was acquitted after the regional and municipal elections in May.

With this agreement, Ens Uneix agrees to be part of the provincial government in exchange for Vox not being there, the red line that had been set to reach an agreement with Vicent Mompó, the new president of the provincial corporation. Now the new government has 14 deputies (13 from the PP and Natalia Enguix) and the left 15 (12 from the PSPV and three from Compromís), which will force them to seek agreements to carry out the different plans and initiatives. However, the functioning of the Provincial Council is different and more given to consensus than to political battles.

Mompó has opted for an agreement with Rodríguez instead of seeking the stability that reissuing in the Diputación the pact reached with Vox in the Valencian Generalitat would give him. The truth is that the need for a parliamentary majority is more necessary in Les Corts than in the provincial plenary session.

In a statement, Ens Uneix has informed that Enguix "will go on to manage, among others, the biannual investment plans of the council, to which close to 150 million euros are allocated, and the nominative and direct subsidies to municipalities and social entities of the Valencian regions". In addition to the areas already mentioned, the same sources explain that Ens Uneix "will agree with the Presidency on policies to promote the use of Valencian".

The agreement includes a list of 17 direct investments in the municipalities governed by Ens Uneix in Vall d'Albaida, especially Ontinyent, and the execution of pending improvement works on different regional roads in this deplorable area. Likewise, the pact incorporates the demands in the Generalitat such as the completion and opening of the new hospital and the construction of the New Palace of Justice in Ontinyent, the unfolding of CV 60 and the southern ring road of Ontinyent to improve access to the new hospital. Another of the demands is the involvement of the Generalitat in supporting the Textile Museum of the Valencian Community which is under construction in the capital of Vall d'Albaida. Likewise, in the next budgets, an item will be incorporated to promote the Moors and Christians festivities in the same way that is now done for the Fallas.
