Bella Hadid celebrates "5 months without alcohol"

The 26-year-old model Bella Hadid announced a year ago that she was starting a life away from alcohol. As he explained at the time, he had discovered that avoiding drinking was the best thing for his mental health. Alcohol gave him "an endless effect of pain and stress", he confessed. Now the top model has given more details about how she is doing. In a post on Instagram, where she has more than 58 million followers, Hadid announced that she has been "5 months without alcohol", and to celebrate she escaped to Las Vegas.

Along with several pictures of her posing in a red dress, Gigi Hadid's sister has shared another photo showing a can of her Kin Euphorics soft drink. Hadid became a co-founder and partner of this brand in September 2021 after discovering that this blend of carbonated water with botanical ingredients helped her with anxiety, mental fog due to her Lyme disease, and exhaustion from work and constant travel.

Bella Hadid, who has never hidden her problems with anxiety and depression, opened up about her alcohol consumption in an interview a few months ago. As he explained to InStyle magazine, the drinks he took when he went out to have fun ended up taking a high emotional toll on him. "I loved drinking, to the point where I started canceling outings when I knew I couldn't control myself," he said.

Apparently, the trigger that encouraged her to change her life was the fact that her doctor showed her, through various scanners, how alcohol affected her brain: "After seeing it, I decided be sober for the foreseeable future”. According to the model, the drinks she enjoyed socially were intrinsically linked to her mental health problems: "I no longer have the need to drink, because I know it will affect me at three in the morning when I wake up due to a horrible anxiety thinking about, for example, something I said five years ago when I graduated."

In 2015, she was arrested by Los Angeles police for drunk driving. His driver's license was taken away for a year and he had to do 25 hours of community service, in addition to 20 hours of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
