Being Catalan should not be exhausting

Like famous independentists, I am reaching a strange state of mind: being Catalan is exhausting. It's clear that I'm no good, I get tired quickly.

On Sunday, election day, some individuals steal forty meters of copper from the railway cables, with the bad luck that they chose a strategic point: four fires and half the network paralyzed.

The seventh cavalry enters the scene, with a bugle call:

–The perfidious Spain!

Before the details are known and without waiting for anything, the two major pro-independence parties that speak on behalf of all of Catalonia (35% of the vote) ask that the election day be extended. Hey, schools are just a stone's throw from our homes...

The process has ended, but processism has not, a way of understanding life that, applied to politics, leads to trips to nowhere. Not even the framework that could unite all of us Catalans – Europe – seems to give a damn about anyone who says that if you love Europe so much, stop harming it with your illusions. Yes, even being Galician is more restful!
