Ábalos says that "some who tear their clothes with the amnesty would benefit" from taking refuge

The PSOE deputy in Congress and former Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos, has pointed out that "some who tear their clothes with the amnesty would benefit" from being able to take advantage of it, in reference to 'Operation Catalonia'.

He said this in an interview this Thursday on Catalunya Ràdio collected by Europa Press when asked by the investigation commission in the Congress of Deputies of the 'Operation Catalunya' agreed by the PSOE with ERC and Junts at the beginning of the current legislature.

Ábalos has also maintained that this "is not an opportunistic commission, it is a commission that has to address one of the most important scandals in recent years."

When asked about the possibility of the former president of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, appearing in the commission, the former minister reiterated that "there will not be any a priori limitations" on the part of the PSOE.

"It is not ruled out that the person who really, according to what is published, appears to have been aware of what was happening will have to appear," Ábalos indicated.
