This viral photo reveals the symptom of breast cancer that you may not know

Clara Warner is a woman, like any other, who one day discovered that there was a slight retraction of the skin on the lower part of her left breast. The dimple, almost imperceptible to the naked eye, has become the decisive clue to detecting breast cancer early.

Although the best-known symptom is the formation of lumps inside the breast, this type of depression in the skin of the breast is also an indication of future breast cancer, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The experience has changed Warmer's life and she has decided to tell her story so that other women can also save their lives: "This is the photograph that I never dreamed I would end up sharing."

Warner explains that she feels very lucky because thanks to a friend's image, she was able to detect the cancer exceptionally early. She now shares her image on social media and advises everyone - both men and women - to ensure that there is no similar dimple on her breasts.

She concludes: “If I can help someone else, the way I was helped, then showing off my soon-to-be-reduced left breast will have been worth it.”

The photograph of Warmer's left breast has literally gone around the world: in one week the Facebook post gathered 25,000 shares. He has received an avalanche of friend requests to which he has responded by opening a Twitter account called “My Left Chest.”

In it he shares the progress of the disease and expresses concerns about his fight against cancer. It has become a very particular diary, a daily bulletin on how to find a dimple and combat invasive cancer.

Breast cancer is a disease that will affect 1 in 8 women throughout their lives, according to the Spanish Association against Cancer.
