They retain the car for alcohol consumption and they go to look for it with the license expired in 2004

"Reality is stranger than fiction," the Mairena del Aljarafe (Seville) Local Police wrote in a message on X (formerly Twitter) to publicize one of their interventions. The driver of a vehicle tested positive for breathalyzer and therefore could not continue driving the vehicle; the person whom the occupants of the vehicle called to come pick them up had their license expired 19 years ago.

On their social networks, the Police have reported that, in a routine check, a driver tested positive for alcohol consumption, with which, in addition to reporting him for it, he was informed that the car was detained as it was not in a condition to drive.

The companion, then, offered to take him, but he also tested positive for alcohol consumption and offered to call his partner to go get the car, the Police being surprised that, when checking his data, he had the Driving license expired since 2004.

For this reason, since "reality is stranger than fiction", as the Police express on their networks, not only was the vehicle detained, but both the driver and the person who wanted to pick it up with the expired license were penalized.
