Agents of the Mossos d'Esquadra Corps arrested a 44-year-old man last Wednesday afternoon after he went to the hospital to report that he had attacked his mother with a knife.
As indicated in a statement from the Mossos, several operations went to the victim's home, where they found her seriously injured. The Servei d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) sent two units to the scene and transported the 79-year-old woman to the Joan XXIII Hospital in Tarragona, where she died hours later due to her injuries.
