Several air and land means work on a forest fire declared this Saturday in the Llebeig de Teulada cove, in Alicante, where the Civil Guard has evacuated several nearby houses in a preventive manner.
Situation 1 of the Special Plan for Forest Fires (PEIF) has been established, in case it could seriously affect forest assets and slightly affect the population and non-forest assets, according to the Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat.
Two units of the Generalitat's forestry brigades and two fire engines, three fire departments from the Alicante Provincial Council, a helicopter and an airplane have been mobilized to the place, and the firefighters have requested another helicopter with a helitransported brigade to the Generalitat and another plane from extinction.
An environmental agent and a fire prevention unit are also working on extinction, as well as a firefighters helicopter with rescue personnel.
